As for price, gold has formed a triangle, which could be either a consolidation pattern or a continuation pattern. The problem -- the last rally took gold "too far" above its 200-day moving average (that's the rising blue line on the chart).

Gold doesn't need any government or central bank to state by fiat that gold is money. Forget governments, forget central banks, forget politicians -- thousands of years of history tells us that gold is money -- and that's good enough for me.
